our ethos
the WildWater way
We have a passion for water and wildlife!
Based in Leicestershire, we offer pond design, pond maintenance, pond planting and pond development.

We believe in building for the long term. By moving away from energy-hungry UV filters and throwaway plastics, we use natural filtration and the right balance of plants to let nature do the hard work. We keep our footprint small by staying local to Leicestershire, sourcing our stone nearby, we self process and recycle as much waste as we can.

As a family business, we take our environmental responsibilities personally. Whether we’re restoring a primary school pond or building a "bug bench" from repurposed timber for a local community group, our goal is the same: to leave our county’s landscape wilder and more vibrant for the next generation.
meet our team
We are proud to be a family run, Leicestershire based business with over 10 years experience in the aquatic garden industry.

Harry
Founder & Partner
Harry founded WildWater in 2017 after seeing a gap in the industry for bespoke aquatic planting design, maintenance and installation. From there, his passion for wildlife ponds grew and he began to move away from traditional building techniques, working with customers who shared his love for eco friendly ponds that both they and wildlife can enjoy. Harry is a true creative who loves to try new ideas and challenge both himself and the business.

Pete
Pond Construction Supervisor
Pete joined WildWater in 2024, though he and Harry have been tackling projects together in the industry since 2020. With a long history in landscaping and horticulture, he is a passionate outdoorsman who spends his spare time taking his two boys on adventurous trips across the country. Pete is at his happiest when he’s building ponds and delving into our more challenging projects... and he absolutely adores otters.

Amber
Pond Care Assistant / Community Project Trainee
Amber joined WildWater in 2025. She is a huge animal lover, so is perfectly suited to her role helping Jack with our pond care partners. With a background in people-first service, she is a natural communicator and a true asset to the team. She’s now fully converted to the outdoor life and the benefits of working next to nature, even being lucky enough to spot a deer fawn on a recent project. Amber is also a superb baker, which the whole team is certainly benefiting from!

Jack
Pond Care Manager
Jack joined WildWater in 2021 and has discovered a love for working outdoors ever since! He can usually be found looking after our existing customers and their ponds on our maintenance plans but he also works on the construction and development side as a vital team player. Since joining us his knowledge in ponds, aquatic planting and wildlife has grown considerably leaving our customers in capable hands.

Sophie
Accounts, Administration & Partner
Sophie has supported husband Harry since 2020 with the administration and accounts side of the business. You will usually come across her on email (sending you an invoice!) or on social media when she is not busy running her own eco-conscious business. Sophie is mostly responsible for the office side of things that don't concern working outside in the cold and wet weather and she is proud to be a part of the WildWater team.

our story
It all started in a family garden centre in Leicestershire, working alongside great people and supportive bosses who taught me the value of a genuine willingness to help. From there, I transitioned to a local pond-building company, where I developed my skills across all styles of water features.

As I personally grew my knowledge of aquatic planting, I saw a clear gap for a more holistic approach, one that focused solely on wildlife and the habitats a garden can offer. I became fascinated with the science of the build: using specific stones and plants to create a functioning ecosystem that actually thrives.

Today, the business and our team continue to grow, managing our customers with the same passion I was shown at the very start. We have since gained accreditations in meadow-making to complement our wild ponds, and we’re proud to spread the "WildWater" way through the community by working with organisations like the Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust and Garden Organic.
